We are pleased to announce that effective April 1, 2021 Shaykh Hasib Noor joined MCC as a Resident Scholar and will work alongside Imam Saifuddin Sabar.
Shaykh Hasib hails from Afghan heritage, grew up in the US and studied at the College of Islamic Law in the University of Madinah. He pursued his studies in the City of the Prophet (peace be upon him) for over a decade under the tutelage of over 50 scholars
specializing in Fiqh, Fatwa, Hadith, Tafsir, History, Sirah and the Islamic Sciences. He is the founder and president of The Legacy Institute, an education and research institution for Islamic studies, as well as an instructor with AlMaghrib Institute and Qalam Institute. He is among the founders of Faith.Global, a global Muslim platform for creating community spaces that provide welcoming space, relevant Islam, and practical spirituality. Faith community spaces have been founded in London, Austin, Ottawa, New York City, and San Diego. In addition, Shaykh Hasib Noor has affiliation with the Center for Historical Studies of Madinah, and is part of Taybah Research, The Society of Archaeology and Historical Sites of Madinah.
The wealth of knowledge and experience that Shaykh Hasib brings with him will help MCC realize its vision and capabilities in a more effective manner.
