Important

On-site Community events are currently suspended until MCC reopens and we can safely hold social gatherings. Until then, please keep checking our website and social media handles for updates.

Location: MCC kitchen
Regular Schedule: First Sunday of every month at 1:30 PM (Please follow our facebook event page to find out exact dates and start times.)

Every month MCC prepares 150 packets of food and drops it off at Interfaith Community Services‘s homeless shelter in Escondido. Interfaith, along with providing many programs to help homeless people towards self-sufficiency, serves breakfast to about 150 hungry individuals every morning and also provides them with a sack lunch for later in the day. By delivering these lunches we will help support this cause in helping individuals and families in their efforts towards self-sufficiency. In partnering with other organization in San Diego, we can work towards providing a positive lasting change to the homeless population. All you need to do is show up at MCC 🙂 Anybody and everybody is welcome.

How can you participate?
1] PACK: Help in making sandwiches and preparing the food packets at our monthly event (simply show up at MCC).

“And they are those who give food – in spite of their own need , to the needy, and the orphan, and the captive, [saying in their hearts], ‘We only feed you for the sake of God, and we desire nothing in return from you, not even a word of thanks.’’” (QUR’AN 76:8-9).

Did you know that San Diego’s homeless population is the 4th largest in the US, after Seattle, Los Angeles, and New York City? According to the HUD, there are 8,742 homeless persons in San Diego.

MCC is trying to do its bit to help out by arranging an event every month to feed our homeless community members.
