MCC Infant Daycare Two Positions
- Infant Daycare Director
Greater San Diego Muslim Community Center has started to operate a new Infant Day Care in Northern San Diego County. We are looking for two individuals to fill the positions of Director and Assistant. These individuals will be empowered to nourish the curiosity of the infants through purposeful experiences to create a future full of lifelong learners. Once hired, the staff will be united by a passion to create a world of learning, joy and adventure for all of our children age’s six-months to 2 years.

As a Director, you will use our policies and procedures as a framework to create unique and engaging experiences for our children. Directors are committed to making their center successful and know that safe and meaningful relationships with children, families, and their team are important to our success.
When you join our team as a Director you will:
- Lead and supervise staff to create unique and engaging experiences, leverage and develop “best in class” care takers to be passionate and committed professionals.
- Ensure your center is operating effectively; maintain licensing, safety, and educational standards
- Partner with parents with a shared desire to provide the best care for their children
- Cultivate positive relationships with families, staff and operations board.
- Lead recruitment and enrollment efforts of new families and children.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience:
- At least one year of experience with the ability to develop, engage, and inspire a team
- A love for children and a strong desire to make a difference every day
- Ability to build relationships with families and staff and create a dynamic environment where play and discovery go hand-in-hand
- Outstanding customer service skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and manage multiple situations effectively
- Must meet the minimum state specific guidelines for the role:
- High school graduation or GED and 15 semester units at an accredited college in specified early childhood education classes. Three of the required units shall be in administration or staff relations and 12 units shall include courses that cover the area of child growth and development; child, family and community; and program/ curriculum and four years of experience in a licensed center or comparable group child care program or
- Two years of experience are required if the director has an AA degree with a major in child development or
- A Child Development Site Supervisor Permit or Child Development Program Director permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
- Must be physically able to use a computer with basic proficiency, lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors. Must be able to assume postures in low levels to allow physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity with children.
- Ability to speak, read, and write English.
2. Infant Daycare Assistant
When you join our team as a Assistant you will:
- Collaborate with the Director to lead and assist in creating unique and engaging experiences.
- Ensure your center is operating effectively; maintain licensing, safety, and educational standards
- Partner with parents with a shared desire to provide the best care for their children
- Cultivate positive relationships with families, staff and operations board.
- Lead recruitment and enrollment efforts of new families and children.
Qualifications

- Must meet the minimum state specific guidelines for the role:
- An aide in a Child Care Center must be 18 years of age, a high school graduate, or be currently participating in an occupational program at high school.
- An aide shall work only under the direct supervision of a teacher.
- An aide may escort or assist children in going to the bathroom and may supervise napping children without being under the direct supervision of a Director.
- Must be physically able to use a computer with basic proficiency, lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors. Must be able to assume postures in low levels to allow physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity with children.
- Ability to speak, read, and write English.
